The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

Ok, I'm admitting here that I am a big Plath junkie... but this book has something to it! It's a story of a young adult, Esther, trying to figure out what she wants out of life, and all the while struggling with depression. It affected me greatly throughout, and I think you should go for it.
