Fortunate Son: George W. Bush And The Making Of An American President by J. H. Hatfield
Review by: Candi

The book has survived two sporadic weeks of violent shaking, jamming my battered and worn bookmark into the inside binding with frightening force, lengthy complaints to it's cover as if it were an animate object, and two indignant, high-arcing tosses across the room. I commend this book. It is a true survivor. I also commend the author for his shoot-from-the-hip type of journalism, (we need more him in the world) and for somehow inciting every wide-range emotion I felt during the election in 2000.

If you haven't read this book, you must. You simply must. Hopefully you won't get as aggravated as I did, but even if you do, you'll be far more knowledgeable about our current President than you were when you started. It presents the good, bad, and the ugly. (But make no mistake - there is a lot of ugly.)
