One Last Time: A Psychic Medium Speaks to Those We Have Loved and Lost by John Edward
Review by: Hrred
John Edward details his psychic development in One Last Time, beginning with childhood. In the first few chapters Edward shares his reluctance and inability to acknowledge his gift of "knowing". After a series of life-changing events, he realizes he has no choice but to sharpen these skills and help others. He takes the reader on a journey as he explains the people he met who helped him develop his gift as a medium. He also chronicles many of his most memorable clients and the stories of reconnection with those who have passed.
I personally liked this book because John Edward is refreshing. Facts are stated with little flourish. His audience and clients are encouraged to be skeptical as they experience his work. He does not come across as the next psychic media darling for America. By reading this book, I am convinced that John Edward simply has a story to tell and a message to teach.
This book will be helpful to those who feel as if they have not achieved closure with the passing of a loved one. Edward encourages the reader to "tune in" to his or her own abilities and acknowledge when they feel as though ones who have passed are, indeed, trying to communicate. He explains the value in connecting one last time and the comfort it brings knowing that loved ones have passed on to a better place, regardless of the cause for death. Expect to be challenged, moved, relieved, and even a bit sad as you read the personal stories. You do not need to fully believe in psychics to be affected!
