The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer
Review by: Mystical_Enchantress

"Imagine a young boy who has never had a home. His only possessions are the old torn clothes he carries in a paper bag. His only world is isolation and fear. Although this young boy has been rescued from his alcoholic mother, the real hurt is just beginning--he has no place to call home" (from the book)

This book, the sequel to "A Child Called It", is actually part 2 in the series. I have read part 1, and being the "what happens next?" kind of person I am, was compelled to pick up this book. After leaving his parents at the end of the first book, I was filled with questions. Does he ever see his parents again? Does he find a good home? How does his mother and father end up? Does he ever forgive his father? Most of these questions are answered in this book. It is amazing to watch the transformation of this little boy who was put through a literal hell on earth transform into the young man that he becomes. I recommend this book to anyone who has read the first, or the entire series to anyone. But be warned, in the first, the graphic nature can be unsettling.
