Gothic tale of the fall of a monk who thought he was free from every sin, except pride. Full of unexpected twists with a great ending, and some gothic poetry thrown in as well. I loved this book! A friend recommended it to me after reading it for a college class and I was hooked! Even better the second time around. Very well written

and a fairly quick read considering the flowery language it is written in. Anyone who enjoys reading Poe, Hawthorne or Doyle will, I'm sure, delight in this at times violent and shocking story.
