The Quiet Game by Greg Iles
Review by: Suzy
Penn Cage, lawyer and author, takes his young daughter for an extended visit to his own parents, following the death of his wife. Cage's parents live in beautiful and historical Natchez, which is a itself in this gripping novel. While in Natchez, Cage is called on to solve the murder of a black man 30 years ago. The threads of this old case involve Cage's father, his old, lost love, a new one, and may stretch all the way to the White House and the Pentagon. Before I had finished the first three chapters of this gripping book, I was mentally casting it for a movie. A great read, and a thriller that really thrills.
