it.jpgIT by Stephen King
Review by: Tallest

This is an oldie, but definitely a goodie. This book is set in two different time periods: Maine in the 50's and 80's. A group of kids battle against Pennywise the evil force that resides in Derry, Maine, and must return 30 years later to battle him again. This book is undoubtedly my favourite work of literature. Stephen King's brilliant character descriptions really make you care about the people in this story, down to the most minor characters. Derry is described in such detail that you feel as though you are right there experiencing all the horror that the group goes through. This book definitely scared the pants right off me on a few occassions... and even on my 3rd reading, I still refuse to read it at night. The book is very long (nearly 1100) but a great masterpiece that should be read if you were ever a kid and were ever scared of the boogeyman.
