vampirearmand.jpgThe Vampire Armand by Anne Rice
Review by: Kimberly_H

I am a huge Anne Rice fan, her writing is so descriptive and lush, and this book is no exception. To make it even better, the main character is an auburn-haired male vampire! He is young and beautiful and this is his story. Anne takes you on a voyage around the world in Armand's lifespan, from Venice to New Orleans and many other exotic locals. You feel as if you are actually there. There are religious undercurrents throughout the story and art plays an important part as well. Just because the plot is based on vampires, this does not mean it is an overly violent or gross-out book. It truly gives insight to the 'human condition'. I am not quite 3/4 of the way through, but would recommend this book to all. "Books are an investment in the mind."
