Review by: Arrancia

This book drew me in immediately. (I should stay away from the newly released, hard-cover, more *expensive* section, because when a book draws me in immediately, I have to get it and finish it.) The story centers around a group of astronomers and their relationships among themselves and other people, and it spans many years. The author used a simple device to tie the book together - the discovery of a comet and it's awaited return. The characters are written very realistically, and you see similarities in people you know...as well as yourself, if you're brave enough to admit it. I read the first section (about five chapters), then immediately flipped it back and read it again. It's the author's first published full-length novel, and kudos to him for doing such a fine job! Can't wait for his second.
