An author I had never heard of. The front cover grips you. It's a slow start, but, it's one of those "can't put it down" reads. It begins with a woman finding a baby in the river (hence the name). It's truly thrilling. If you like "Lifetime" movies, you'd love this book! Sex, class, and mesmerizing. (okay i stole the back cover quotes, but, they are true!) It's a long read, 500+ pages, small print... but, by chapter one, you'll be "addicted".
