Andrea Marie - Here are some ways I have solved my worst redhead makeup problems (after wasting much money)

1) Mascara. Most mascaras looks too dark for me, even the brown tones. My dark eyelash ends with the light roots looked funny. If you have this problem, I finally found the perfect mascara: Bonnie Bell lash tints in brown. It's inexpensive, very natural, and doesn't wear off. The bottle looks very dark brown, but I was astonished to see it really does just tint your lashes. I also wear clear mascara on my bottom lashes, Cover Girl, and I use it on my eyebrows too.

2) Foundation. I'm a natural pale redhead with some native american roots. Therefore, I have light skin with a strong beige tint, esp. in the summer. I had a problem finding a color that wasn't too light (yellowish) or too beige (pink/brownish) My fav is Loreal Translucide in Pale. Be forwarned: Loreal has virtually uses same color names for all of their foundations, yet the result is not always the same. Under my foundation I wear Physicians Formula's green corrector powder, esp. made to fight that reddish skin tone.

3) Lips. Too red, too dark, too brown, too pink. UGH. I can wear very few lipsticks. I have fallen in love with Loreal's Brazil Nut as a perfect blend between red and brown, not too dark either. Perfect for nightwear. For day, a perfect fleshtone color (that's not pinkish or brownish) is Loreal's Matte Bisque. I also wear a lot of shimmering goldish brownish copper lipsticks that seem to match my hair perfectly, perfect for summer.

For my green/blue/grey eyes I'm lucky because I can wear any of those colors and they match just nicely. Brown eyeliner is the only way to go.

Next time you are in the store, check out the makeup brand Physicans Formula. (I know Walmart carries them) A bit steep in price, but high quality. Great for light/sensitive skinned people, as well as beautiful color shades that are very practical to enhance your natural beauty. I can't say enough wonderful things about them.
