Mellania - I am very much into experimentation with makeup. I feel that as long as you show some taste and careful application, try out all the colors you can! One thing that's really cool about makeup for redheads, is that there are very few limitations to the colors we can use.

I'm about to say the big "D" word here, so brace yourself.... As proud as am of my natural Strawberry-blonde shade, I do use...(gasp).. DYE!! Yep, good ol' Feria #74, in Shimmering Copper. Thing is, I'm a singer and when I do get onstage (what am I saying? The WORLD is my stage, dammit!!) I like to have a very BOLD red color. It just adds to my image. So if y'all like the shade you see in these pictures, you can have it too! May I suggest L'Oreal's Feria #74, in Shimmering Copper, or, Garnier's Nutriesse, in Luscious Mango.

I personally focus most of my time on eye makeup. I use CHEAP brands like Jane, This-N-That, and an occasional Revlon product. The important thing about eye makeup is PRECISION. Blusher, Powder, Foundation and lipstick and be applied quickly and without much care, but DO take time on your eyes (You'll get alot less mascara in them too! lol).

I am posting three examples here; Green Eye Makeup (shown), Blue Eye Makeup, and Cleopatra eyes.

For the green and blue eye makeup photos, I used Revlon Peach Shimmer blusher, applied with a GOOD brush (this is key). For the green shimmery shade, I used Rimmel "Special Eyes" in #084, Saucy Mint (Rimmel is an off-brand you can find in Walmart). For the Blue shade, I used Revlon's "Dreamy" wet/dry shadow. I applied a thin overcoat (on both colors) of This-N-That's "Sparkle This!" eyeshadow in Old Blue Eyes (you can find this in a Claire's or Icing accessories shop). I finished it off by using Jane's WONDERFUL soft eyeliner "One Liners" in Blackline.. and Jane's "Flashes" ultra-rich mascara in Blackout.

In the Blue Eye Makeup photo, I am wearing a light touch of Jane's "Ginger Zinger" liquid lipstick, and in the Green Eye Makeup photo, I am wearing Jane's "Megabites" lipstick in "French Vanilla". (I love flavors.. I can't help it..)

For the Cleopatra Eyes, I used Wet'N'Wild's "Very Pink" blush, and Jane's "Megabites" lipstick in "Go Banannas!". Again, I am using the black mascara and eyeliner from Jane, but I am also using Cover Girl's "Professional Eye Enhancers" shadow, in "Midnight Jazz". I LOVE this shadow because it has little tiny flecks of gold sparkles in it. Sometimes I finish off this look with the "Old Blue Eyes" sparkling overcoat, for a shimmery look.
