Tallest - I'm a redhead with relatively dark auburn hair. I'm also blessed to have dark eyebrows and eyelashes. My skin is also usually less pale than most and definitely more freckly. Maybe this is why most tips in magazines dont work for me.

Every magazine I've ever read stresses that redheads should wear browns, bronzes and coppers on their eyes, and bronze or copper lipsticks. These colours look absolutely terrible on me.

I love playing with colour on my green eyes. I prefer dark purple eyeshadow the most, as it makes my eyes look really green. I also use green eyeshadow (but only to go out on the town). I've worn orange eyeshadow on occasion when I've worn tops with orange in them (yes I've done that too! Shame on me!). I've used dark blue eyeshadow to do the rims and creases, and filled with lighter blue and a highlight of pink. I use brown eyeliner and mascara during the day, black at night. I pretty much break all the rules, but I've only received compliments on my makeup (specifically about how green my eyes look). I figure when I get older I'll stick to browns, but if I want to do the smokey smudged black eyeshadow now to go with my red evening dress than by Jove I will do it!

As for my lips, I choose my lipstick depending on my outfit. For blues or purple tones I wear Revlon Brazenberry, and for darker more earthy tones I wear Revlon Chocolate Bar. I always put chapstick on first so that the colours don't come out too dark.

My advice mainly is just to experiment experiment experiment, and always ask the opinion of one good friend, your mother and a man!
